Just because the From is spoofed, it doesn't mean your email account is compromised. See: Ask Leo

And here's a complete example, though they vary slightly:

Hi, your account was recently hacked! Modify the pswd right now!
You do not know me me and you are definitely interested why you're getting this email, proper?
I'mhacker who openedyour email boxand digital devicessome time ago.
It will be a time wasting to make an attempt to contact me or look for me, it is definitely hopeless, since I sent you this message using YOUR account that I've hacked.
I have created malware to the adult vids (porn) website and guess you enjoyed this site to have some fun (you realize what I mean).
When you have been watching vids, your internet browser began to act like a RDP (Remote Control) having a keylogger which granted me permission to access your desktop and camera.
Consequently, my applicationobtainedall data.
You typed passwords on the web-sites you visited, I sniffed all of them.
Surely, you can change them, or already modified them.
However it doesn't matter, my malware renews information every 5 minutes.
What did I do?
I made a backup of every your device. Of each file and contact lists.
I got a dual-screen movie. The 1 section presents the film that you were watching (you've an interesting preferences, wow…), and the second screen displays the tape from your own camera.
What exactly must you do?
Great, in my opinion, 1000 USD is a fair price for this little riddle. You will make the deposit by bitcoins (in case you don't understand this, go searching “how to buy bitcoin” in any search engine).
My bitcoin wallet address:
(It is cAsE sensitive, so copy and paste it).
You have 48 hours to perform the payment. (I have an exclusive pixel in this letter, and at this moment I know that you've read through this email).
To trackthe reading of a letterand the actionswithin it, I usea Facebook pixel. Thanks to them. (Anything thatcan be usedfor the authorities might actually helpus.)

In the event I do not get bitcoins, I shall immediately offer your video files to each of your contacts, such as family members, colleagues, and so forth?"

About the only thing we can do is make sure we NEVER pay anyone (for any reason) using the bitcoin wallet address mentioned. You might want to keep a list of them if they keep coming.
